(Thai chicken sweet and sour)

Preparation:Slice the chicken fillet into thin strips and add salt, pepper, and a pinch of flower. To make the sweet and sour sauce, mix all the sause ingredients with exception of the flower, in a pan. Bring to this mix to a boil and simmer at low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. Mix the flower with a bit of water and add that to the sauce. Stir well until the sause is thick enough. Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan or wok. Add the chicken and fry until nearly ready. Peel and crush the garlic and add it to the chicken and stir fryuntil you can smell the garlic. However, do not burn it. Chop the vegetables into 1 " cubes and add all to the chicken. Stir fry for a few minutes until the onion is soft, then add the sweet and sour sauce. Cook for another couple of minutes and serve. |
